True Worship
1And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. 2Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans, 12:1-2, NLT.
True Worship is more than singing songs and enjoying the presence of the Lord, it is a life lived in complete sacrifice to his will. When we surrender our lives to him giving back in response and recognition of all he has given us, our daily lives become a continual worship. True worship is not only sacrifice but it is giving, give your bodies… our complete lives belong to Him.
The next act of worship is letting God continually transform us into a new person. Don’t be the same person two years from now that you are today. Worship is having the tenderness and humility to keep changing. I know that thoughts will ultimately shape my life and attitudes. The thoughts you are thinking now are the picture of your future. I want the meditations of my heart to be acceptable to Him. My thoughts and meditations reveal the true level of my worship. The only way I can think on God’s level for my life is by faith. So worship Him in faith saying yes in your heart to the dreams and thoughts He gives you.
Lastly, doing the will of God is an act of worship. We must ask the question, are we worshiping God when we are out of His will?Doing His will is not always easy or glamorous, but it is rewarding. It is a life where things are working together for your good, living with His touch and sensing His pleasure. Finally, we are a promise of perfection… a life overflowing with fruitfulness and wholeness.
Be a worshiper. See you in church.
