My Top One Hundred
They say that life is divided into 3 phases. First is through age 40. In this time we learn, gain experience and grow. Second are the years 40 through age 60. This is the accumulation phase where we put all that experience to work and hit prime productivity. The last period is the years beyond 60. This represents the giving years where we get to give away everything we have learned and accumulated. Now that I have hit 51, I subscribe to the new data, which says that 40 is the new 20 therefore, fifty has to be the new 30… yes!
I would like to submit that life is lived best when we do not follow the norms and we begin to do all the above at the same time. Never stop growing, learning, producing, and giving everything you can, all at once. I think life is best lived! And it’s best lived on purpose. As I think about the future, I do not want to plan on quitting anything. Retiring sounds boring. Lucie thinks all my discussion of such things is a little overboard, she just shakes her head and tells me I make it too complicated. But I believe if you are living on purpose, then you must know what you are living for, and there is a lot to have a good time doing life. Sure there are tough times, but never let them cause you to quit living life with a zest. Below is my list of my top 100 things I’m goin’ for in life…(which I prefer over the top one hundred things to do before I die list..)

Ok, so my list is still a work in progress, just like me. Maybe you have some ideas that will help me finish my list. Please feel free to send me your thoughts. One thing is for sure…it does not take a long list to live our life with purpose. And it’s not about the pressure to find success through an endless litany of accomplishments. It is about about walking with the Lord and finding the fun and joy of an abundant overflowing life that He gives us… and living it to the full. I believe there is an elasticity with God and His promises. Just like a rubber band, the promises have elasticity to them. Many people only choose to believe for the minimum from Him while others want the maximum…the all things are possible to all people level of abundant life. So let His goodness over flow and live abundantly on purpose. Blessings. Let me hear from you.
